The data light on my mini connector drops off every evening at about 1900hrs.

There isn't anything abnormal or out of ordinary that occurs at that particular time in the house. If left alone, the mini connector is up and running (with both data and wifi lights) back on in the morning!

My daughter uses this to connect her work laptop via ethernet. It causes her problems when she has meetings late in the evening when the data connection has dropped off.

What could be causing this? I have BT Smart Hub2.

In the past this type of problem has often been caused by some piece of electrical being switched on and causing interference. Got anything on a timer?

It could also be caused by the same in the attached property if you're in a semi or terraced house.
