Video baby monitor 6000 will not pair to smart monitor

After both my bt displays stopped charging due to poor design... I purchased the smart unit hoping my existing cameras would pair... but they do not. Is there no way to get these 6000 cameras to pair with the smart unit? Seems like a racket to me

I've followed the 'holding the link' setup and tried to connect to the device and the app... no joy either way. I've tried both cameras too and still nothing
