Smart Hub 2 USB SSD password

I have BT Smart Hub 2 with an SSD attached to the USB port and mapped as Drive Z:

I can access Z: without a password, however when my backup software (Acronis) tries to access Z: then a username+password is demanded. Admin + router password does not work.

How do I set a user/password for the USB drive. Cannot find USB settings on the router setup.

Thanks

No password is required to access a drive mapped to the usb port of the hub. I use Acronis backup software to backup my PC to a drive connected to the usb port and have never been asked for a password. Sounds as though it could be a security setting in Acronis

I've never used the facility, but Acronis True Image 2020 has a password protection facility for backups.
