Thanks for replying, but this is all of the things I already tried. I wasn't surmising it is the router - its the BT Wifi Extender that is now suddenly constantly searching for the network despite initial successful connection, so I would assume its more likely a problem with the Extender hence posting here for any further suggestions beyond standard help

BT Wifi 1200 keeps scrolling left to right

Hi

I've happily been using a Wifi 1200 extender on Band 2.4 with Sky Fibre for well over a year, then suddenly in the last month or so it keeps dropping off and scrolling for range.

I've done all the obvious - factory reset, moved it to different locations including right next to the router but every time after successful initial connection, within a few mins of restart it will scroll.

I have tried to then check the firmware (I don't believe it got upgraded in this timeframe anyway?) but I am not getting to the next screen after I log in with the correct credentials through direct network cable connection and on 2 different laptops.

So i'm trying to work out whether its an issue with the extender or my router, I changed nothing myself it just stopped working, so any suggestions would be much appreciated !!

@sgac

This page should help.

https://www.bt.com/help/user-guides/broadband-and-wi-fi-devices/wi-fi-and-home-networking/wi-fi-dongles/11ac-dual-band-wi-fi-extender-1200

There is also product helpdesk information on that page.

If you think its your router, then it would be post to post on the Sky user forum, as this is the BT Retail Customer Forum.
