BT 3880

My mother has a Bt3880 triple handset and on intermittent occasions whilst she is on the phone it cuts out and goes silent, the caller gets a jingle type piece of music. Her landline has been checked as ok so it must be handset though she says she isn't pressing any buttons, has anybody heard of this please

Both BT , been onto product support and they couldn't help so unless I get solution I will have to buy new phones

Have you tried a different phone to see if the problem is still there?

Have you changed the batteries, as they only last about 18 month before they start to lose capacity?
