I have a BT4600 phone set and I am trying to use a headset with it with a 3.5mm TRRS jack, but the microphone does not work any suggestions

I think you may find that that type of plug short circuits the microphone input. Try a normal 3.5mm plug instead.

try a headset you would use with mobile phone - they usually are included with the phone

Thanks for the suggestion, but the headset I am trying to use works with my mobile phone and my laptop but not with my BT4600 phones.
