BT Pro box and account identification

Hi,

I've just plugged in my BT Pro box and am confused as to how NOW TV is accessible without me entering any account credentials. How does the box know that I have NOW TV Sport as part of my package?

I was expecting to have to log on using my BT account credentials to open up access to my package's features.

Confused!

Hi, @spbond if you have a Now subscription through BT the channels are delivered over the BT broadband network to the BT TV box using multicast technology from the exchange. We hold your subscription details on our multicast systems and you're not using an app so there's no need to sign in.
