Energy saver switch off

Hi ,

From time to time our tv displays a little message....something like, “Energy Saver. Your tv will switch off in one minute...”.then adds to the stress by counting down the seconds.

We can’t find which button cancels the message.

That message is on your TV, not your BT TV box - press any button on your TV remote.

Strange. We've recently come to BT from Virgin. We never saw that message when we were with Virgin.

You can sometimes extend the duration on the tv to auto-switch off after a long period of time.

The only other option is the press the tv remote every couple of hours - even if just to change the volume.

This response is just not true! Your box does do it, you just literally have to press any button on the bt remote. It constantly does it to me too

The BT TV box will go into standby if you don't touch the remote for a time you can change in Settings
under Power and Standby. The default time is 3 hours and you can change it to 2 or 4 or 12 hours.
