Bt Pro Box upgrade

Can you upgrade to new pro box if your on Home essentials ,as been told via chat that can`t as need to agree to new 2 year contract to get the new box ,and with essentials on 1 year contract .

Existing customers have the option to upgrade their box when taking or changing to any of our flexible TV packs available with fibre broadband:

Sport
Big Sport
Entertainment
Big Entertainment
VIP

The point trying to make is that ,been told i would have to come off Home essentials and sign up a new 2 year contract after asking about upgrade to new Pro box (via online chat).Is it possible to stay on Home essentials and upgrade to new Pro box.

BT TV Pro upgrade would be nice from what I’ve seen. I have the older set top box and wifi connection would be a better option for me now. Having the Entertainments package already, how do I get an upgrade?

BT Marketing never makes it clear. Just tell people clearly what is in the package upgrade. I never change anything because BT are never clear what you get for your money.
