PlayStation 5 4K & HDR

I am using the BT Sport app on my PlayStation 5 and the compatibility checker says that my console and Tv are not able to display 4K or HDR. I was able to do this on my PS4 Pro?

We're not quite there with bringing Ultimate to the PS5 yet, but we've been working closely with Sony for a while on this and will make it available ASAP. For now, the device checker will report that it's not capable (which I understand is very confusing - a strange decision by the product team).

Has this been sorted out yet, I’m currently on now tv package but will move over once 4K is available.

Some progress, but it's not there yet I'm afraid @JamesMarsh

We're expecting an update from one of our suppliers in September that should get us a step closer.

Had the same problem. Delete the app and install again. Problem fixed

Just tried deleting abs re-installing the bt all running 4K oled. Picture was standard HD still.

its ridiculous that it’s available via other devices. There isn’t an app on my LG tv to stream it through and I can’t cast it from my iPhone. So I’m paying for ultimate even though I can’t access it through my devices.

when will this be fixed please?

No amount of reinstalling is going to fix this - it's not ready yet.

I'll update here when we have an idea of when it'll be ready.

Not at the moment - I'll update when we have one. There are too many external dependencies to give a reliable estimate - I don't want to set expectations that we end up not meeting.

It's in our best interests to get it working ASAP, so please trust me when I say we're doing all we can.

So we are at the end of November now and still nothing has been done ? , this problem has consisted for nearly a year from numerous people and still nothing has changed !

Latest update from last week is that we now have Ultimate content in a format that the PS5 can play, however it lasts for less than a minute before failing. We're waiting for an initial assessment from Sony on the cause.

Darren, my BT Sports app has started failing after 20 seconds in the past week and returning the VC019 error code.

Any chance it is related to the issue you describe above?
