Got it, thanks! It is still surprising, especially since extended highlights have the same quality as live events (1080p).
If there is a route to ask to improve highlights quality, will you please pass a big +1 from me.

Hi there,

Trying to watch highlights from yesterdays' individual Champions League games on the BT Sport app, those which are 5-7 minutes long, and the picture quality is really poor. It is not a technical issue, rather the video is heavily compressed. The live picture as well as extended highlights (20-30 minutes long) are all very good.

Is there any reason to do so and could we have the short highlights in decent quality?

Yeah, probably. Do you have an idea about the reason for this?

The BT Sport main channels are 1080p50 24 hours a day.

The BT Sport Extra channels are 720p25 24 hours a day.

The BT Sport Ultimate events are 2160p50 (SDR, sometimes HDR) for the duration of the event, and then the replays are available in 1080p50 (SDR only).

Clips and highlights are always 720p25. This is just how the content is edited and provided to us I'm afraid.

Why are the Extra channels limited to 720p25 ? Atleast up them to 720p50....
