BT Sport App on Andriod TV rotated screen

My screen is now rotated by 90 Degrees and can no longer use remote. Anybody else experiencing this and any suggestions to rectify? I have already tried restarting TV and reinstalling app (Sony Bravia Andriod TV)

Is it just the BT Sport app that is rotated? Or everything?

I'm wondering if the correct app has been installed by Google.
Do you see a menu across the top of the screen and a cog in the top right corner? Or do you see just a BT Sport logo at the top, and then 5 tabs shown across the bottom?
(when I say top / bottom, I mean if you tilt your head 90 degrees to match the picture)

Ok so it has installed the mobile app on your TV. Did you use the Play Store to install the app? Could you try uninstalling and installing again?

Have uninstalled, turned tv off and reinstalled. All to no avail. Still rotated in app. Also, have noticed does not appear in usual shortcuts.

Same problem. The app disappeared from the home screen on my Sony TV, but appeared under app listing. Loaded like a mobile phone app (portrait) and crashed. Reinstalled but still screwed. Rebooted TV, still screwed. Looks like a phone app trying to install on a TV. Has there been a **bleep**-up with an update?

If you look at the description of the app in the Playstore it states it is for phone and tablet lol. No wonder it's broken. Hopefully they are going to sort this PDQ.

The same listing in the Google Play Store is used for both the mobile and TV versions of the app. Both app versions get uploaded, and Google decides which version of the app to install depending on the device capabilities.
For some reason that I've yet to work out, Google has decided that Android TVs are now capable of running the mobile app.
I'm currently in the process of releasing a new version of the Android TV app to the Play Store that will correct this. It can take Google a few hours to approve/release updates - I'll update here as soon as I've received confirmation.
