BT TV remote with Hitachi Smart TV

Hello

I am having a real mare with trying to pair BT TV remote with Hitachi remote BT even sent out a new remote

What am I doing wrong - I am using 2424 and pressing and holding TV and TV AV the waiting for the blinking to stop then adding in the code then pressing and holding TV but the TV doesn't go off

Hi @Emma1967 it might depend on the model of your TV. Hitachi branded TVs made after 2012 are not actually made by the Japanese manufacturer Hitachi, but Vestel, a Turkish company who make a lot of TVs for other people now - you may be able to check the serial number to see if it starts with something like VS etc. If it does, try the RCU code 2811 to see if that works better for you.

Thank You Still didn't work - Am I doing the pairing correctly with holding down TV and TV AV waiting entering code then holding down TV could it be that the Hitachi / Vestel doesn't support BT remote
