That error means that a BT TV account can't be found on your line. If the box is connected to your BT broadband line and your BT TV subscription activation date is in the past, then you'll need to call the helpdesk to get it fixed.

Thanks Darren,

I have since called BT. They said it is a crossed line and an engineer is coming tomorrow. Does this make sense to you? As our broadband is working absolutely fine, and we don't want to lose this for any length of time when the engineer comes.

I would have expected them to just adjust the account to the line you're on, but I have every confidence that there's a reason for them doing it this way. If there is an outage, I would expect it to be for seconds - the engineer will tell you before they do anything to interrupt your service.
