Eurosport back on BT TV

Spoke to an advisor today and enquired about my sports package and she said from March 1st Eurosport is going on all sports packages.

Some how I cant see Eurosport gong on Now TV sports package.

Unless its like what they did with AMC and just keep Eurosport on the EPG for BT TV customers only.

I would like BT to keep a few channels like they do with AMC and sell it as part of the now TV pass . Along with Eurosport if true and TMC to beef up BTTV app

March 1st is Monday. Surely we'd have heard something before now. I'm sceptical, but would be more than happy to be wrong.

This could be true as I have noticed on my Samsung Tv sometimes it shows channels last watched and it shows Eurosport 1on the list. As I am on VIP package and currently no Eurosport on the epg. But I am not sure which channel I was on when it shows Eurosport as last watched. Will have to wait until Monday.

Could this be an extension of Sky's carriage deal with Eurosport because they have an exclusive deal for the Olympics which are this year 🤔

It's on the website & been on here since 12th Feb as well, only in certain packages though - Eurosport now available on Big Sport and VIP TV pl... - BT Community

@garybs29 That would explain why my Samsung TV is showing Eurosport as a last watched channel. Although it’s not on the EPG yet, but if I click on it it says 412 channel not available, will keep a eye out for it to appear on there today. I think any new channels added appear automatically and usually after 10am.

UPDATE:

EUROSPORT is now on the EPG available to Big Sport and VIP subscribers.

I've received an email advising Eurosport will be added for Big Sport and VIP customers from 2 March 2021.

Just Premier Sports and La Liga TV to go now. Although you can get La Liga TV through Amazon Prime as an add on.

Why can’t we have Eurosport as an add on? I don’t want all the other sport channels.

@silverbantam because Discovery Networks own Eurosport and want people to subscribe to their own streaming platform as it's more profitable for them. On the flip side, BT are moving away from carriage licenses because it's not very cost effective for them which is why they moved from a full TV offering to a reseller of NowTV passes.
