All BT TV subscription channels are delivered over the internet, but in one of two ways:
When channels (including Sky Sports) are accessed via the TV Guide (e.g. channel 421 for Sky Sports PL), they're broadcast over multicast - the fastest possible way to get the content to your box, with minimal delay from live.
When you access them from apps (e.g. Now TV app in this case), they're delivered "over the top" with no guaranteed delivery time - most likely delayed 30-90 seconds behind live).

Big Sport Package (Sky Sports Now TV)

I'm looking to add the Big Sport Package, would like to know if Sky Sports via NOW TV is broadcasted via the internet or is it through the satellite/BT TV box?

The reason I ask, is that if it is via the internet, it would involve some sort of delay - which I wouldn't be interested in.

Essentially, I want to be able to watch Sky Sports live. Is this possible?

There are transmission delays involved whatever the platform.

(even if at the ground seeing it with you own eyes - the laws of physics and biology are immutable)
