Owned by Time Warner who have an extremely large financial and long term agreement with Comcast so I'm not surprised it's staying on Sky...

Disappointed about this watched this quite a bit My BT Entertainment Package getting less channels I actually watch with the SYFY channel going last year I might have to consider my options . Thanks for this info btw

If you have a Samsung Smart TV, you can get CNN through TV Plus for free.

Gutted to see this. Everywhere I go in the world, I find CNN available. Just joined BT and most unhappy to see CNN and BBC News are not available. Is there another way I can get them on my TV?

BBC News is available on channel 107 as Freeview.

Thank you, but there is no channel 107 available. Freeview only has 101 to 105

Depends on which package you have with BT, you're right that it's not on Freeview, but the HD version channel 107 is available with BT-TV.

You are wrong channel 107 dose not depend on what BT TV package that you have.

The HD version of 107 depends if you can pick up the COMs 7 Freeview signal and what transmitter you are using. Channel 106 is the same with Freeview.

BBC News is on Freeview channel 231 for sd and 107 for hd.

HD is not available in all areas and both 231 and 107 are independent from BT. If you left BT the box should still pick up at least 231 and possibly 107.

The post from Simon said he couldn't get BBC News with BT, I take it he has an aerial installed which in normal circumstances would enable him to at least SD Channel 231 which is the SD equivalent of the 107 news channel.

Yes, I do have an aerial installed. It was done as part of the BT installation process.

The BBC News channel can be viewed live via i-player if you are unable to receive via Freeview.

Thank you! This is a great solution for me. I did not realise iPlayer allowed you to watch BBC channels, so this has solved my problem. Please, have a mince pie on me! 😀
