Openreach would do the repair as part of the installation cost, but you would have to report it to BT, so that they are aware, as you would not normally get a visit, as broadband is self install.

Hello,

i live in a student house and we are hoping to get BT in the near future (currently with Virgin) however the BT wall socket is broken and just hanging off by the wires. it has been broken since before we moved into the house. would BT charge for this to be repaired or would they do it when we take out the wifi?

thanks
