Static noise on line

Hi all.

Since having the bad weather over the weekend my phone line has been having problems. Theres like a staic noise on the line and ive tested the line inside and all sockets have the same problem.

Any ideas on what to do?

I would bet dollars to doughnuts that the rain has got into an external manhole or cabinet. As a precaution ( and because you'll be asked to do so anyway, no doubt ) I would try plugging a phone into the internal master socket to see what happens, although I'd bet the result will be the same. Other than that, all you can do is report it as a fault to BT and leave Openreach to do their thing.

I did do a test in the test socket and it was the same. Thanks for the advice 😃
