BB working Landline not

Broadband is okay but landline not working. Phone rings when called but only buzzing noise when hand set picked up. Unable to dial out no dialing tone. Thought it was my phone so purchased new but same result. Carried out on line check with BT web site but result said trouble on my side? carried out BT suggestions but all negative? Please help if you can xx

Hi @lelfred and welcome to the community.

I'm sorry you're having problems with your phone. Can you try connecting the phone to the test socket behind the master faceplate and check if it's working from there? If it's still the same then the problem is on the network.

Thanks for reply dont have test plug but unplugged ADSL splitter unit and plugged phone direct to wall master box but phone still not working. Put everything back to normal broadband working phone not working.
