Cloned BT Landline Number - Numerous phone calls, "You rang my number" Honest Guv I didn't

Today, I have received three phone calls on my BT landline from people asking why I had phoned their number when I hadn't.

Has anyone else had this problem and did it get resolved?

if you use search there are other similar posts where you number is being used by scammers. nothing you can do apart from wait till they move on to another number
