Bt Everyday phone

Just purchased BT Everyday phone - single station.

We get a dialling tone - but all numbers dialled return an engaged tone - but they are not engaged!

It’s not a line fault as we simply plug back our ancient Panasonic single handset back in and all works fine.

DND is not on and we have input numbers in the address book.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Community.

Are you able to receive incoming calls on your BT Everyday Phone? Looking that the User guide a busy tone could indicate the handset is out of range of the base station.

If that doesn't work, give the product helpdesk a call on 0800 218 2182.

Thanks Paddy - its not a base station issue - I was within 3 foot when dialling.

Handset does receive incoming calls - I’ll give the helpdesk a call, (from my mobile 😂😂) but suspect faulty goods.
