Can't text back confirm

Hello!

I've had a text from openreach asking me to confirm a repair appointment next week. Whenever I text back to confirm it comes up that the message failed to send. Has anyone else had this and did you manage to get around it? I don't want to lose my slot!

Did you actually request a visit from Openreach via your service provider?

There are lots of scams circulating.

Thanks for your reply. We did. Sadly the internet has been down since Tuesday and we've been having a tricky time getting anyone to come out and take a look! I double checked the phone number on the website and it's legit
