btinternet email added to google groups??

Hi,

I received an email saying that my btinternet.com email had been added to a Google Group by someone called XXXX@gmail.com. The Google Group is apparently called "hackdovolam207opeb-kh-1-28"

I've not requested to be added to any Google Groups and don't want to be a part of it. I'm not about to click on any of the links in the email as I don't trust them.

Couple of questions - can a btinternet address be added to a google group? If so is there a way that I can see what groups I am added to? if I go to groups.google.com it asks me to log in with a google email address.

You would be better to ask Google your questions as they would be in a better position to know how their system works than any of the forum users.

However it would appear that any email address can be added to a group.

I would be inclined to add the email address to your email blocked list and then delete the email.
