It's good to hear that BT have finally implemented 2FA, however after trying to set it up I notice that it does not seem to apply to IMAP / POP / Email client access.

I tried adding an account in Outlook using the normal BT password and instead of blocking me, it added the account without issue. What I would have expected it to do is open a web page asking for credentials which then sends a code to your phone etc.

It's a step forward, but it still seems pretty useless if anyone with your password can still log in unchallenged using Outlook or any other email client.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any advice

Will
