Forwarding an email

I have used forward in BT Mail for years without a problem. Recently, every time I try to forward an email the contents of the email disappear and are replaced by an attachment. A previous poster suggested that on the 'forward' option there is a drop down menu - 'attachment or inline', setting to 'inline' would solve this problem. I do not have this option on my "forward" routine. Previously the behaviour of forward was more traditional in that the email would be forwarded as one would expect. What has chnaged and how can I fix this. Apparently this is also happening to some of my committee members in a club who are also on btinternet email.
