Getting spam, not getting some legitimate emails

Help!

1. Suddenly my spam folder is filling up with messages that should never have got that far: 27 in the last 4 hours.

2. I have discovered I am not receiving any emails at all sent from gmail accounts. Several friends have sent me messages to test this. It has been happening for about a week. I have gone into Settings and checked that I have not inadvertently blocked that domain. Please can someone suggest how I fix this?

You can try adding the senders your safe senders list, but that's about all you can do.

The BT spam filters have always been notoriously bad, lurching from too lax to over zealous.

You should re check that you have not blocked the gmail domain in your blocked senders list in the email settings.

just tried this, didnt see gmail as blocked so tried to add as safe sender which came back with message that gmail was blocked, have now unblocked & receiving the sent emails ok ! - thanks
