To dispute the default on your credit file you will need to contact Equifax directly and they will liaise with BT to get this removed from your file if there has been a mistake.

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help, I've recently been going through a mortgage application and I've been made aware of a default from a BT account. It's from a linked address and defaulted back in September 2019, I moved out of the property in July 2018.

Really need help with this, what do I go from here?
