Hi, @Kielty23 welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm sorry to see you're experiencing problems updating Norton. Please can you try these steps and let me know if they help?

STEP 1 - RESTART YOUR COMPUTER

Exit all programs

Restart your computer

STEP 2 - RUN LIVEUPDATE

Start Norton

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

In the main window, double-click Security, and then click LiveUpdate

When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK

Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

If the problem persists, go to Step 3.

STEP 3 - CONFIGURE LIVEUPDATE TO AUTOMATICALLY DETECT SETTINGS

Start Norton

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

Click Settings

In the Settings window, click Administrative Settings

Under Administrative Settings, next to Network Proxy Settings, click Configure

In the Network Proxy Settings window, under Automatic Configuration, check Automatically detect settings

Click Apply and then click OK

Click Close

Run LiveUpdate again

Thanks

Hi, thanks for this. Step 3 does not have these options for Norton on the Mac.

It has however updated itself now. Manually running live update regularly doesn't work too well.

Thanks for your input.
