I'm being charged for a "free" xbox games pass

Hi,

I recently upgraded oyr broadband and received this:

"Your broadband package has Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 12 months included at no extra cost. You can start using it straight away."

Did the steps etc. And then got another email:

"Thanks for activating your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

It'll be £10.00 a month. You'll see this on your bill."

Can anyone please explain WHY I'm being charged? I'm *very* annoyed to be paying £10 unwillingly when I thought this was some kind of perk or incentive. Not had the game pass through BT before so definitely eligible for it.
