server error while activating virus protect

hi, so I've seen a lot of people get this, but I have just upgraded my pc, which I had to fresh install windows on, and my previous one had virus protect on it with Norton. well now I've tried to download it, it keeps giving me the error message when trying to activate.

tried everything I've seen on here, but no help, and yes im the account holder on my bt, and my email address is the main user before that's suggested.

Welcome to the community.

Do you have a VPN connected? If so, could you try activating with it switched off please?

no VPN active at all, never had to use one.
