BT Wifi hotspots - can't access

Finally got access to BT full fibre at home, I understood this would give me access roi BT Wifi hotspots when out an about

Got the My BT app but there's nothing on it that allows me to see any hotspotd or connect to them

EE's app is no better

any ideas or suggestions?

The BTWifi app no longer works since the move to EEWifi.

You need to scan for EEWifi, select it and then log on with a browser using your BTID.

Seems a hassle

And given that as of today BT is still advertising BT WifI hotspot service and the BT Wifi app this smacks so false - ie illegal - marketing never mind appalling customer service.

Maybe a complaint to the Advertising Standards Agency is in order
