What do the experienced BT users here think of the included Norton Security package?

I've been pleased with it for some years, quietly working in the background. It's now updated itself

and is now giving me dire warnings that my wifi password is weak. We are in an isolated location and

even if the password was weak, there's nobody here to hack into it. I suspect it just wants to sell me the VPN

package, amongst other things. It's a nuisance to change the password & then update all the devices, so I'd rather not

do it.

So, how does everyone else like Norton, especially after this latest update?

I doubt the Norton product knows you live in an isolated location. Norton is a security package and it is just doing its job and alerting you to the fact that you have a poor Wifi password which you may not have known about.

Whether or not you change it is entirely up to you. There will probably be a setting to acknowledge the warning and turn it off so that you are not bothered by it again when it next scans your system.

From a personal perspective, I never bothered with Norton Security. I just use Windows Defender without any issues. Then again, I actively use a VPN (which I pay for) and I use a decent browser and my password security on my router WiFi is very complex. I also pay for my Swiss email provider. I haven't been hacked yet...........but then I'm not clicking links embedded in emails, nor am I paying a blackmailer in crypto for some sordid secret that they claim they know about 😆
