Thank you. I thought I'd just try that number to confirm it got through to Openreach and, to my amazement at 11.00pm on a Saturday night, my call was picked up by a helpful human who took down the details and promised an engineer would inspect the pole on Monday.

Openreach Damage Reporting

One of Openreach's telephone poles that carries the copper cable that supplies my FTTC service is covered in ivy and leaning over. A cable connector is also hanging off the pole.

Openreach's website provides only one way to report damage - via an online chatbot. I've now tried several times over the last couple of weeks to do this and every time I try to submit my report I just get the error message: "Sorry, we're facing issues with our backend systems. Please try again later.".

I cannot find any email address or even telephone number on Openreach's website to contact them. Does anyone know if there is any way to contact Openreach other than via their non-functioning chatbot?
