Im guessing you might not have fttp with a speed of 16mbps .

Or you could just check your BT bill

No as its not available with bt in Wareham Dorset to date only copper to copper or FTTC or as its none now SoGEA

FTTC products have ‘fibre’ in their name , BT Fibre Essential, Fibre 1 , Fibre 2 (40Mb , 55Mb , 80Mb ) BT ADSL products, usually advertised as having an average speed of 17Mb don’t have Fibre in their name , so BT Unlimited Broadband or something like that .

As ADSL is no cheaper than FTTC , unless there is a reason why FTTC isn’t available (no cabinet or no spare connections in the cabinet) or performance is worse on FTTC than ADSL (this can be the case on very long lines from the cabinet )there is no reason to be on ADSL .

If you want a more technical way to tell , look at your router modulation type,
G992.3 is ADSL2

BT bill is not ionized to that point just outgoing call cost and line rental cost !!!!!!!*********

While I have no knowledge of atoms or molecules I can confirm that your BT bill will clearly state if you have a Full Fibre (FTTP) package.

If you logon to your BT Hub management pages and click on "Broadband Status" it will show what type of connection you have. It will either be ADSL copper broadband, VDSL Fibre to the Cabinet or FTTP Fibre to the Premises.

You are most likely on VDSL FTTC.

Thanks Clara net is my ISP not BT just using bt copper and fiber network Netgear modem roter ADSL2+ VDSL has been in place 16 year work fine, only have problems if bt open up old gpo link box in the west street wareham

BT do not have a copper and fibre network. The network is operated by Openreach.

This is a BT residential forum which has nothing to do with Openreach.

You should contact your own Internet provider, Clara and they will tell you what type of broadband you are currently on.

If you want to change to BT Broadband as your ISP then just look at the following link and select a package. If your address can not have the package it will not allow you to order it.
