It looks like once upon a time it was clipped to the wall, or more likely the window frame. Any clips that don't dig into the cable, or pull on it should be just fine!

Hi, I moved into a property and broadband is fine, but this cable is on my outside wall and goes into my property via the wall into a phone point on the wall inside by the window.

Is it ok like that and I can just pin it to the wall, or should I be contacting BT? See images. Thanks.

https://imgur.com/a/ghORBiQ

https://imgur.com/a/RiU6Gaa

Thanks, it's coming from inside the guttering area so I presume that's still ok?

Was concerned about winter and it becoming damaged. Thanks.

Personally I might use a little silicone sealant at the entry point, and where it comes out from under the roof. It'll weather proof the holes, reduce any rubbing, and it pretty much peels off if you need to remove it (provided you don't use too much).

*Fully prepared to be lambasted for the silicone sealant fixes everything stance!

Is it actually in the guttering?

I ask because 20 odd years ago I had a Sky dish put in and the guy ran the cable along the gutter to the other end. It’s not actually in the gutter but behind it and uses the gutter brackets as support. Been like that 20 years and no problems.
