Put the address in here and it should give you some idea of what is available:

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

VDSL is FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet and then copper to the old 5C socket).

FTTP is obvious but would need a ONT (Optical Network Terminal) installing, if not one already. (It's a small box on the wall with lights on it). This, of course, would need landlords cooperation.

(If there is any mention of 'FTTP on Demand' ignore it. It's a business product and you have to pay thousands toward the installation).

Hi,

I recently moved into a flat and have a Master Socket 5C open reach Mk4. I was hoping to setup Broadband but I don't really know what my options are and what BT offer in terms of broadband for my flat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I think you'll need to get in touch directly with BT to see what they can offer you. This is just a customer to customer forum with no direct knowledge of what's possible for BT to provide at your address.
We'll stand ready to offer advice once we know what BT can offer.

Call BT or go online ,

if ordering online , putting your address in shows what’s available , if it’s fibre to the cabinet the socket is used , possibly remotely brought into service, you just plug in the router when it’s sent out to you , if FTTP is now available in the flat , the existing socket is no longer used and new full fibre infrastructure provided to plug the router into …..first step , call BT or go to the website .
