Thanks, I'll give it a go. Just hoping the drop out issue doesn't return because both 2.4GHs and 5GHs will be turned on.

Split BT Router Hub

I have a BT Router Hub 6 with Wi-fi bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz). Unfortunately we've had to switch off 2.4GHz as we had constant drop outs on our mobiles. We had four BT engineers at the house trying to resolve the drop out issue and switching off 2.4GHz worked. I've had to buy a new wifi printer and should have bought one that was compatible with 5GHz. So can I split my router so that our phones only connect to 5GHz and the printer can connect to 2.4GHz? If yes, how do I do this? Thanks in advance.

As you have a Hub6, it is possible to give the 2 bands different SSIDs (network names) just give the 5Ghz a different name to the 2.4Ghz and then delete the 2.4Ghz network name on the phones so they only connect to the 5Ghz.
