BT Baby Monitor 6000 sound light indicator

My BT baby monitor 6000 will flash the sound lights on the side of the device to indicate that there is noise, however there is no noise in the room.

There is no interference and it will happen sporadically flashing all the way to the red light at the top indicating a loud noise.

Monitor is 6 months old.

Called the number. BT have said they do not stock the product and can not help!!!!!!????

this is 6 months old.
