Smart Hub 2 and time data

Having recently been blessed with conversion of one of my lines to Digital Voice, the faithful office Billion 8800NL router was replaced by a Smart Hub 2. In my system two Cisco SPA525G phones and a second computer derive their date and time from the office computer, the latter via Meinberg NTP.

Except that they no longer do so. I can ping the main computer and anywhere else from the second computer and there’s no problem, and the little network they form works normally. But something in the Smart Hub 2 seems to block time data from being sent elsewhere.

Temporarily switching off the router’s firewall has no effect and neither does turning off uPnP. Replacing the Smart Hub 2 with the Billion restores normal working.

Has anyone any ideas?
