Does it matter if batteries above 750mAh are used?

Had problems with phone screen flashing on and off when sitting on the charging base. Was using 950mAh batteries.

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail Broadband and phone customers.

The charging circuit would be optimised to work with 750mAh rechargeable batteries, so its likely you would have issues with larger capacity batteries.

Yo could always ask the product helpdesk.

As long as the batteries are a decent branded make they should be fine. The only difference would be the time it takes fully recharge. The voltage is the same and the charger should still provide the same amps when charging so more mAh takes longer to charge.

The charging circuit is very basic & I don't think it's optimised for anything. I have 850mA batteries in my 8500s with no issues. It's more likely that one of your batteries is faulty.
