Hello can any one help me I have a BT4600 with answer phone, when the phone rings and I pick it up and press the answer button green it just carriers on ringing

It could be an exchange fault, however the first thing to do is to turn off the power to the base unit for about two minutes and then see if it still gives the same problem after you turn it back on. The comms between the base and the phone can sometimes get locked up.

...Remove one of the batteries at the same time.

You could also try turning on auto answer in the menu, so the call should be answered as soon as you lift the handset off the base.
