Setup error 042

Says — Sun, 08 Jan 2023 17:35:50 GMT

Brand new out the box mini whole home wifi. Sets up first disc fine. But it can't find second disc to set up gives 042 error, however the correct internet is selected on my phone.

Solutions? Tried it 50 times about you give up. Nothing in community for same error works or is relevant.

It would be best to give the WHW product helpdesk a call on 0808 100 6116 ( Mon to Fri 9am to 5.30pm and Sat 9am to 2pm) or drop them an email to: btconnectedhome@bt.com and they'll be happy to help.

Thanks for posting. Sorry you're having problems setting up the wifi discs. Have you had a look at Solved: BT Whole Home Wi-Fi Error code Setup-042 - BT Community. If that doesn't help then your best bet would be to follow @Keith_Beddoe advice. Let us know how you get on.
