BT Homespot Z3J and Kindle

I have BT Homespot to extend the range of the wifi into my bedroom (stone walls). This works well. However since I bought a new edition Amazon Kindle (11th ed) I have not been able to connect to BT Homespot. It can see the wi-fi but asks for a password. I have tried using the Virgin Media wifi password but it doesn't recognise this. I have been through all the setting on the kindle and can't see what I am missing. Very grateful for any solution that doesn't involve me getting out of bed to find a signal to synch to where I have read to on my phone! Thank you.

It will be the wifi password of the 'homespot' (whatever that is, or do you mean hotspot). The default password should be on a label somewhere on the device or with the documentation.

Hi @opalGill welcome to the community and thanks for posting the Home Hotspot range of extenders all have a pull out card on the back of the hotspot with the wifi password details.

Thank you...HomeSpot is how it appears in wifi settings. Nothing in any of the devices I can see. Will have a look in original documents. My phone has only ever needed the normal WiFi password to connect.

@opalGill the link in my post will bring you to the product support help pages for the home hotspots. If your Kindle has a WPS facility you may be able to connect that way.

I think you will find the information printed on a label on the device itself. The pull out card is just for convenience.

It should give you the admin access code, and the default wireless password.

But as @Keith_Beddoe said, if you unplug the device the info should be repeated on a label on the plug side.

Nothing that leaps out at me as password. Tried to take photo but difficult to focus as very small type. Just gives Mac and Dek (unless it is that). Thank you for trying to help.

You are looking at the WiFi one, not the one that plugs into the router?

You haven't answered the question. The Hotspot consists of two plug-in devices. One that connects to the router & one that provides the WiFi. Only the WiFi plug has the card/label. Google images suggests that you may be looking at the wrong one.

When I said post a pic of the whole thing, I meant the whole adapter, not just the label.

One last try.

You are looking at the wrong plug. The one you have pictured connects to the router. The WiFi info will be on the other one, the one with the buttons on the front. The one on the left here:

Thanks for your trouble, sorry to be a nuisance to you. I have now found that one hidden behind the TV (I wasn't the person who set it up )
