On that wireless mesh system, its not possible to force a device to connect to a specific disc. That goes for most wireless mesh systems. You would be better connecting a wireless access point to an Ethernet port on the closest disc, and giving it a different SSID and connect the bird feeder to that network.

Like this https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/access-point/tl-wa801n/#specifications

Whole Home Wifi - can I lock a mac address to one disc?

I have an external camera on a bird feeder that sleeps overnight.

When it wakes up it seems to connect to a disc about 20m away from it, rather than the one with the strongest signal which is about 2m from it!

Is there a way I can "lock" MAC address/specific client to one disc, or prevent it from accessing other discs?

I think I have the original large white BT Whole Home discs, firmware is v1.02.13 build 07

Thanks in advance,

Greg
