Identifying Devices connected to Discs

Is there an easy way, apart from switching off, to identify the Connected Devices on my system? At the moment I'm just getting numbers and letters for most Devices.

You are probably seeing MAC addresses, something like this: 00-B0-D0-63-C2-26?

You can usually find this address on a label on the device or by going to it's network settings. You can then compile a list of what address each device uses. Exceptions are any devices using MAC randomisation, which will generate a different MAC address each time unless you opt not to in the device settings.
