Thanks to BT for providing the solution. When adding the new disc connect it by Ethernet to an existing disc and not the router.

I've been given an additional disc to extend the network in my house. I currently have 5 discs set up, the FTTP router has wifi disabled and I'm using the first disc that is connected to that by network cable as the router. When I try to add the extra disc it is recognised but does not connect, I get a steady red light.

Do I need to modify the settings on the FTTP router to restore wifi on this in order to proceed?

All 5 discs in the original set up have the grey BT logo on them, the one that has been given to me is the earlier version with the coloured BT log on the front.
