Testing hybrid

I just hooked up a Hybrid to my Smart Hub with Ethernet. Hybrid's showing one blue bar 4G signal which should be good enough. I want to see if the Hybrid will actually kick in if my broadband fails so I connected to the Smart Hub and disconnected broadband. I lost my internet connection but the Hybrid didn't kick in, it just sat there with a status of 'ready' but not connecting. Is there any other way to test it? Did my test show that if my broadband fails for real the Hybrid won't work?

Hi @-sf- Just checking that this is part of the Halo 3+ add on benefit, and you haven't simply bought a Hybrid Connect?

Hi - yes, I upgraded my broadband package to Halo and BT sent me the hybrid thingy.
