BT 3960 Cordless phone

I have a new BT3960 cordless phone/answering machine. It seems to be working perfectly except for the fact that I cannot stop the Call Indicator icon from flashing. Have tried several things to stop it, but nothing works. Any ideas?

No missed calls. Have tried everything I can think of to stop it blinking, but nothing works!

Are you sure its not caused by answer 1571 holding a message, or similar? Dial 1571 and see if there is a message waiting.

I don't have the 1571 facility in my BT package. I will phone or email the helpline on Monday. Thanks for all the suggestions. Fingers crossed!!

@Jenwren-72 have you checked the calls list? Page 33 on the BT 3960 manual explains the steps.
