'Shorter' Power Adapter for BT Smart Hub 2

Hello,

The place on my wall where the BT Smart Hub 2 is mounted is less than half a meter away from the power socket it is plugged into, and the standard power lead is… 3m in length? Something very long. I have coiled it and secured it behind the SH2 itself, but it would actually be handy if I could get my hands on a power adapter with a much shorter cable. I purchased a 12v 2amp one previously, only to find that the jack was slightly too big to fit the hole, so there must be at least two types of 12v connector and I am not sure where to look to find one of a shorter length, though I have looked in the obvious places of eBay etc.

Anyone any ideas or had to get one themselves from somewhere?

Previous threads suggest the connector is obscure & not available in the UK.

Maybe one of the multiple adaptor ones on Amazon might have the size needed

There are leads available on Ebay that appear to have the correct plug (search for "5.5x3.0mm for Power Charger Cable Plug Connector Adapter For Laptop"), but they are just that, leads no actual PSU.

Think it might just have to be the cut and connect way - some neat connectors available to hide the join.
